Local talented Portrait Specialist Tony Scott will teach you how to photograph people, create poses to enhance your models characteristics.  This workshop will focus on how to use Studio lighting using one or two lights, umbrella and soft box.

If you’re looking for a good introduction to studio lighting Tony Scott is an outstanding portrait photographer who shares his knowledge, tips and passion to fast track you on your portrait photographic journey. This workshop will be the best starting place.
We guarantee you will master, how to improve your portrait photography skills in a few hours, in a small group with expert practical guidance.

• Ratios of light
• One light setups with reflectors
• Two light setups, the rim light
• Tips on using a flash/ambient meter
• Studio flash/umbrella set ups – which is the best option
• Studio flash/soft box setups  - what size and  best shape will be explained
• Studio flash to incorporate the natural environment to use anywhere and everywhere.
• No need for an expensive studio set up, work with where your clients feels comfortable.

In this workshop we will also go over the best angles, where the best locations are and how to light it. This is an extremely hands on workshop, so be prepared to learn a lot more about your camera, lighting & posing. We aim to finish after sunset, but we won't stop until you have great images.

Fee: $150 *** Early Bird only $120 if booked prior to January 20th. Limited to 12 people and will be sold on a first come first serve basis so register early. 

What to bring:

• Hat, sunscreen, water.
• Digital SLR camera
• Bring 1 to 3 lenses max - we'll be shooting anywhere in the 24-200 range but you could use just a single 50mm prime if you want.

The Location:
Yeo Park, Thompsons Beach, Victoria Point, Queensland, Australia (Google Map Link http://g.co/maps/j78yz) we will meet under the shade of a tree near the toilet block. There is plenty of parking along Eagle Street.

To obtain experienced models we will be offering images in return for 4 hrs of modelling. We would ask each photographer to Provide 3 - 6  images each for the models.

Model Releases: since this is an educational environment, no model releases will be exchanged. Therefore, under no circumstances are you allowed to use any images you create for any use other than your own portfolio, website, or other similar self-promotion. Any other usage would require the model's and/or agent's permission prior to use and commensurate compensation which would be a breach of copyright.
