Peek into this undiscovered world of minute creatures and the fine art work of flowers with expert guidance.

Tina is a passionate nature photographer. She specialises in bird photography, but also has a love of the smaller world of macro, and flowers. In fact, flowers are what kick started her career in photography. She has many medals from both Australian and overseas competitions for her images. The success of her images is the attention to detail, and this is what she will share with us on this course.
Tina’s journey began 7 years ago, and progressed rapidly from a humble point and shoot and several DSLR’s to her current top model camera, and quality lenses (canon). She is a qualified PSQA accredited judge, judging local camera clubs competitions through to internationals, and has attained both Australian and world recognized honours. Her love of macro came from viewing the stunning images of Brian Valentine, known as LordV

Tina explains how macro lens aren’t necessary to get close up and cosy with the new world of macro.
Or close up photography. With extension tubes, you get extremely close. However, most of my successful flower images are not macro’s, they were taken with the 70-200 zoomed in. Even my successful bee shot was taken at 400mm with my 100-400 zoomed in. So apart from having a macro lens, or tubes, a zoom lens of about 200mm would also be good.
What you will need for the Course:
A digital camera with manual controls, preferably a DSLR.
  • User manual (if possible)
  • Tripod
  • Macro lens (if possible), or extension tubes (and a zoom lens
  • A keen eye!
